After years & $$$$$ spent at Noel Leeming I saw an ad in January 2012 on deals for the iPad 2, having been after one for a while I decided to go in and buy one..
After the sales pitch (including the big up sell for the extended warranty) I was at the counter with paperwork in hand when informed that they didn't have my model in stock. But not to worry they were expecting some in within the next week or so.. Not being unreasonable I thought no problem, will wait for the next shipment.
Nearly 3 weeks later, having heard nothing I called the store to inquire about the whereabouts of the iPad and was told they could get me one from another store as the shipment hadn't arrived yet..
Grateful for this I happily awaited it to arrive in (had to phone several more times to follow up) and then got the call to pick it up (now weeks after initial order). My husband picked it up for me and when I got home from work what did I find.. They had given him an opened, used, dirty and scratched store model!! UNBELIEVABLE
So several calls later over the ensuing week the iPad was returned and a vague estimation of more arriving in the next couple of weeks.
This then morphed into "you'll be upgraded to the iPad 3 which we're expecting mid to late March"
So wait I did figuring with a new model about to be released there wouldn't be iPad 2's available anyway..
At the news of the iPad release here on March 25th I ring Noel Leeming and remind them that I have been waiting since JANUARY for an iPad and that I would like to have one of the new iPads put away for me on the day of the release..
Yes - of course they said - you are our top priority..
On the afternoon of the 25th I go into the NL store to pick up my iPad - only to find there isn't one! Excuse after excuse was given and more promises made to get one in from another store - this time by the Manager - promising I would have it by Wednesday at the latest. Believing at last that this would be sorted (after all this was the Store Manager promising to sort it out!) and that I could put the experience behind me.
Today (Wednesday) I call NL to check that the iPad is there, ready to be picked up - only to find that YET AGAIN it hasn't been sorted - more excuses now turning into lies!
I can't believe that a store can sell products it doesn't have in stock, offer such poor customer service and give such a low priority to previously ordered product.
I'm sure my model has been sold to people in store rather than being given priority to existing orders..
I am going to see this through to the end as I am interested in how NL are going to continue managing this situation - however I will NOT be using Noel Leeming in the future and would warn anyone else to beware!

Anytime I've bought a large appliance of these guys, I've been disappointed. They're generally disinterested in serving you, and vague in their responses.

Eight days ago I spent more than $2k with them, and am still waiting for the item to be delivered. The goods arrived into store, and no one bothered to contact me about delivery. I called a total of 3 times to chase this item, and finally got somewhere on the third call.

The item is expected to be delivered this coming Wednesday - fingers crossed.

I feel that the salespeople at NL care only about getting your money for their commission, and cldn't give a stuff about you afterwards.

The salesperson I dealt with was helpful when money was in question, but cldn't give a toss about the sale or me receiving the goods afterwards.

It was a shame the best deal for my appliance was with NL, else I wld have gone elsewhere.

Come on NL, this poor customer service attitude has been going on for years; it's time to care more about the people that are the reason the store is open.
