Not cheap but we had a very memorable time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Rose room is the one to take!

We have been dining and staying in this beautiful historic house (1865) since it opened as a restaurant in the early '2000's. The standard has always been so amazingly high it deserves special mention. The sparky personalities of hosts Olivia and Alan always make it the ultimate welcoming experience and it is great value for money. Especially so now they've introduced $45 three course dining as an alternative to their famous a la carte menu. This is as good as it gets. I totally go along with all the compliments from everyone who has commented on their experience in Lisburn. Being there is such a wondeful and different experience it is beyond comparison. You will love it.

We were in Dunedin last weekend and went to a Restaurant called Lisburn House.
I can't speak highly enough of this place.
It is actually an old house that you can also stay at. They have a very small restaurant and the food is superb and any other word that you can think of to describe great food.
The service was very special, but not invasive and the white tablecloths, material napkins, crystal glassware and silver cutlery all added to the occasion
The cost is similar but not any more than any other nice restaurant in Dunedin and on Frdiay nights they have a 3 course meal for $45.00
I can highly recommend this establishment.

I can tell you, fellow womfers and followers of womf otago, that you are missing out on one of lifes greatest pleasures if you have not yet dined here.!!!. We had a most divine, impecably created meal last night in this well established retaurant. Full of charm, atmosphere and history. All 4 of us totally enjoyed the proffessional host Olivia and husband chef Alans creations. The smoked mackeral was superb, the groper steak full of flavour, the licorice cheesecake desert unique!. This fine dining experience costs no more than the good to average in town restaurants, and is so much more!!. This is around the 6th time we have been here, this very proffessional, highly skilled couple are true legends in the Dunedin retsaurant scene. Thank you both for giving us the best meal out we have had for ages.
